EmpowerED gives your school a financial advantage over standard bookkeeping in two ways:

• 1. Bookkeepers and accountants work with the numbers you give them to make sure your books “make sense”. We look into the health of your finances and your long-term goals; and work with you to develop a plan and implement the right tools to assure your past, current and future data will be as accurate and as helpful to you as it can. We set up processes and workflows for timely, accurate record-keeping, and because we oversee your tuitions and fundraising in addition to the bookkeeping, our detailed reports are extremely accurate. This enables you to make crucial decisions with 100% confidence.
• 2. All our recommendations and processes are based on years of experience and successes at schools like yours. A school is not a business and has unique dynamics. We’re know-it-alls (in the nicest possible way).

Your existing staff members are deeply familiar with your school and are committed to its success, so we do everything possible to retain them by training and hiring them ourselves, as long as they are qualified for the role.

Our recommendations are based on many years’ experience of working with schools, and we have done a lot of research and trialling of the various options. We are however happy to work with your existing programs if you prefer, as long as the functionality is up to par. We fully manage the migration to better options if a different program would better serve your school.

Schools benefit most when the full suite of services are implemented, as the holistic element is the key to accurate data and greater efficiency. It is harder to accomplish the desired outcome without the full package. Nevertheless, we understand that logistically or financially, schools may need to take it one step at a time, and are happy to provide just some elements of our services at first, and tie in the others at a later date.

Much of the timeline is dependent on your school’s responsiveness and ability to zero in on getting everything set up. Initially, we depend a lot on you working with us to gather information and move forward. Schools also vary greatly in the level of complexity of their needs and the state of their current systems. Typically, the initial setup is accomplished in 3-6 months, with the full benefit being evident between 6-12 months. We will give you a clear timeline charting the responsibilities we will undertake at every point of the process.

After our consultation, your proposal will be customized according to the size of your school, taking into consideration the number of students, employees and donors; with set hourly rates for bookkeeping services. We share your commitment to growing your school, and therefore use a growth-ratio pricing model.
